Love & moisturize your summer dry skin

Summer is here!

Skin is more exposed to the elements than usual. Pool water dries skin out. Sun dries skin out. So what do we do?
I have found a fabulous combination for the bathing beauties out there. My favorite ritual is taking a bath at night with Dr. Teals foaming bath and adding a small amount of Dr. Teals bath oil.

 It is heaven on earth!

Your skin will feel soft and well cared for. Even hours after that treatment your skin has a glow and a sheen that only models get to show off on shoots! Just remember, you are NOT photoshopped but you sure look like it.   Not to mention the added feeling of relaxation on top of it, since Dr. Teals is a line with great relaxing products such as lavender epson salts and more.

Now, if you don't care much for soaking up, you can always shower and use that fabulous oil afterwards but while your skin is still wet. Same results!
Most drugstores carry this brand and its not expensive but definitely puts competitive pricey brands to the defense.
Other alternatives to the bath oil are coconut oil, almond oil and avocado oil.
Enjoy!

Best self tanner at home

Fighting the winter blues with colors.
Here we are in the middle of winter and I know that unless you went to Hawaii or the Caribbean you are on the pale side.
I am a tan fanatic as you all now by now, I am not gonna lie.
I was looking through all my samples of cosmetics I have in my makeup storage closet and I discovered some Kate Somerville tanning pads. Aha!!
Great time to put it to the test.
I scrubbed with the Kate Somerville gentle face scrub and then on clean dry face I applied the product from the pad. I love the fact that you take a sticker out and the product is fresh and ready to go on your skin without staining your fingernails.
Way to go Kate!
I used it for 4 days and by now I have color on my face and I like it.
It is more on the warm gold side than orange, kind of hard to distinct in between those two but it looks as natural as a self tanner can possibly look.
Do I fool all my friends that I went surfing in Hawaii? Probably not but I like myself better without makeup now than I did before. I don't wake up to my greenish pale face.
Make sure you scrub well before use.
I avoid the T-zone area. I use it more as shading than anything.
Apply a good moisturizer because all tanning products dry your skin out.
Moisture also helps the color last longer.
Reapply depending on how dark and how long you want the tan to last.
It doesn't smell much at all. Very faint in comparison to other products.
Sephora carries Kate Somerville products or try online.
